Care that follows how your body actually changes.

One-to-one physiotherapy for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic floor concerns, and midlife transitions — in clinic and by telehealth.

Recovery isn't a straight line — it's listening, adjusting, and building a body that works for where you are now. — Penny's approach to treatment

Ways we can work together

Every plan starts with a full assessment — what you're feeling, what you're aiming for, and what your week actually allows for.

Pelvic floor rehabilitation

Incontinence · prolapse · pelvic pain

Internal and external assessment, individualised exercise programs, and practical strategies for symptoms that get in the way of daily life — running, lifting, laughing, sneezing.

Prolapse management

Assessment · pessary fittings · ongoing care

Assessment and staging of prolapse symptoms, conservative management strategies, and pessary fitting and review for those who choose that option — with follow-up support as your needs change.

Pregnancy & postpartum care

Antenatal · birth recovery · return to exercise

Support through pregnancy-related pain, birth preparation, and a graded return to movement afterward — whatever birth looked like for you.

Mastitis treatment

Blocked ducts · mastitis · lactation support

Hands-on treatment and therapeutic ultrasound for blocked ducts and mastitis, along with practical guidance on positioning and feeding to help prevent it recurring.

Menopause & midlife health

Bone health · joint pain · pelvic changes

Treatment for the musculoskeletal and pelvic changes that come with perimenopause and menopause, with an eye on long-term strength and bone density.

Return to sport & movement

Strength · running · load management

Rebuilding capacity after time away from training or sport, with progressions that respect where your body is now rather than where it used to be.

Penny Hanlon, physiotherapist

About Penny

I'm a physiotherapist with a special interest in pelvic health. My own experience of two caesarean births, and moving through different life stages myself, has shaped how I approach treatment — with real understanding of what these changes actually feel like, not just the theory behind them.

A big part of my work is removing the stigma around women's health conditions. I want the women I see to understand their own bodies, and I want younger women to know what's ahead before they get there, so none of it has to come as a surprise.

Sessions give time to actually talk through what's going on, not just move through a checklist. I split my week across clinics in Frenchs Forest and Narrabeen.

Education & speaking

I regularly give talks and run workshops for schools, sporting clubs, and community and health groups — on pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and the changes that come with different life stages. If you're looking for a speaker for a panel, workshop, or education session, I'd love to hear from you.
